Exploring D.C. Part 4: Alexandria

March 22, 2017

This past Monday, I went exploring in Old Town Alexandria. It’s a really nice place with tons of cute colorful houses and shops. So today, I’m sharing my pictures of Old Town Alexandria with you.

I walked up and down King Street, which is the heart of Old Town. When you walk down the street, you end up at the waterfront. There, you have a beautiful marina. The weather was so nice this day and I ended up just sitting on one of the marina benches and relaxing. It’s so nice and peaceful and it really made me want to live there.

I went searching for this lunch place where my family and I had lunch when we visited in 2013. All I could remember is that they had the best tuna sandwiches I’d ever had. My dad ended up finding the name of the place and when I got there, I found out they only do catering now. You can imagine how sad I was. I’d been thinking about that tuna sandwich for a really long time.

King Street is the street in Old Town where you have tons of shops, restaurants, ice cream places and colorful houses. If you’re ever in the D.C. area, I definitely recommend visiting Alexandria. It’s a pretty small area so it’ll only take you about 3 hours to see everything. It’s easy to get to if you want to take the subway. Both the yellow and the blue line have a stop there, called “King Street Station – Old Town“. Surprising, I know! πŸ™‚

With Alexandria explored, I have only a few items left on my Washington D.C. Bucket List! On to the next one!
