Week 9 in D.C. is over. Time for another recap!
On Monday, I visited Old Town Alexandria. It felt so good just walking around and exploring! I wrote a blog post filled with pictures of cute colored houses, shops and restaurants as well!
This week was actually pretty laid back… Nothing much happened. While I was visiting Alexandria, I bought a little bag of Sour Patch Kids because I remember trying them with my brother for this video we did a few months ago and I really liked them. This is the only bag of Sour Patch Kids I’ll buy here, though, because it’s not really that healthy…
On Wednesday, I got some amazing news. Remember when I entered the EF Blogger Contest for 2017? Well, on Wednesday I got an email saying that I had won the contest, making me the 2017 EF Blogger! I was so excited, I think I literally jumped off of my desk chair at work. Also, this means EF is sending me on a cultural exchange for one week. YAY!
On Thursday, Eloïse made this raisin and nut bread. It’s so filling and so yummy! The recipe is pretty easy as well, since it basically only contains nuts, raisins and a few eggs. You can find it here!
On Friday, my coloring book and colored pencils arrived. I bought them because I’ve always loved coloring. It’s really good for your peace of mind! Also, it gives me something to do while watching The Office because I love watching that show but I feel like I need to do stuff while watching it.
On Saturday, I got more amazing news! The musical company that I talked about in this blog post held auditions for Legally Blonde The Musical and I sent in an audition video, since I’m still in Washington. So Saturday, I got the news that I’m part of the cast! For those of you wondering, I will be playing one of the three Greek Chorus girls! Again, YAY!!!
And with that, week 9 is over. I only have 4 weeks or 16 working days left at my internship, how crazy is that? Let’s get week 10 started!
