After seeing “What The Health” on Netflix, I decided I wanted to give the plant-based lifestyle a try. I don’t really want to call it vegan because I feel like that word comes with a lot of negativity. So, plant-based it is. Today, I’m showing you what I eat in a day.
I have to say, I am totally new to this. There is a lot I have to learn about the plant-based lifestyle and I’m sure my food options and choices will get better with time, so bear with me.
For breakfast I had two pieces of wholegrain toast with almond butter, a peach and a glass of water. I have to say, this kept me full for a long time. I had breakfast at 9.30 AM and I wasn’t hungry until 1.30 PM.
For lunch, I had some green beans, baked in some olive oil and two vegetarian sausages by Linda McCartney. I was skeptical about these sausages at first but they tasted so good. I’ve also tried Linda McCartney’s vegetarian burgers before and that’s really good as well. So definitely worth checking out! This kept me full for a while, but not for too long. I had my lunch at 2.30 PM and I started feeling hungry again at 5.30 PM.
You can probably tell I’m trying to figure out Lightroom because this picture is way too bright but again, bear with me 😉 . Anyway, for dinner, I threw together two cans of tomato chunks and one can of black beans. I added a lot of cayenne pepper (my favorite spice) and put that in the microwave whilst boiling some brown rice. This was really filling as well because I had my dinner at 6.30 PM and didn’t eat anything else that evening.
So, there you go: my first ever What I Eat in a Day post. Let me know if you like these kinds of blog posts because I actually loved making it (and the food).
