Is it just me or is the most exciting part about a new year that you get to make new travel plans? In today’s blog post, I’m sharing my travel plans for 2018 and… it’s going to be a good year!
Skiing in Austria
My first trip of 2018 will be in February, so it’s coming up pretty soon. My family and I are going skiing in Austria. This is a yearly tradition and it’s one of the trips I look forward to the most every year. I haven’t gone skiing with my family for three years because I was in college and because of my internship last year. Fingers crossed I still know how to ski! 😉
Studying musical theatre in New York City
I lost a piece of my heart in New York last year. I mean, what’s not to love about this wonderful city? As you probably know, I’m a bit of a musical theatre geek. I always wanted to major in musical theatre but it never ended up happening because I chose journalism instead. That’s why I decided that this summer, I want to study musical theatre in NYC! I’m going for three weeks: one week to get rid of the jetlag and explore some more and two weeks of training with Actor Therapy, a training program that was established by Lindsay Mendez and Ryan Scott Oliver. What’s awesome about this program is that you get classes from actual Broadway actors so CAN I START FREAKING OUT NOW?
My friends and I are travelling to Valencia in July! I’ve never been but I’ve seen pictures and I CAN’T WAIT. We booked an amazing appartment, since we’re a group op 6! This is going to be so much fun.
Visit Disneyland Paris (again)
For the past two years, we have visited Disneyland Paris during the summer. It’s become kind of a tradition but there’s a few downsides to visiting Disneyland in summer. There’s A LOT of people, you have to wait in line soooo long and these past two years it has been so hot on the days we’ve visited. So hot that we were standing in line trying to find shadow and sweating like crazy. That’s why this year, we’ll be visiting Disneyland in September instead. It will be cooler and I think there will be less people, even though it’s always busy at Disneyland.
My dad and I got our hands on some Hamilton tickets, so we will be taking a day trip to London in September to go see the show. In December, however, my brother and I have decided to take another sibling trip to London as well! Oh and we’re going to see Aladdin on the West End! Exciting!!!
In November, Heleen and I are traveling to Madrid to visit Camille who’ll be there on an Erasmus exchange program. I’ve never been to Madrid so I have no clue what we’ll be doing over there. If you have any tips, let me know!
