It’s official: I’m going to New York City! In two weeks, I will be finishing up my internship at C-SPAN and the week after that, I’m leaving for New York. It’s one final trip before I head back to Belgium. My plans over there? That’s what today’s blog post is all about!
Campus Tour @ AADA. I’m thinking about following a 7-week summer course at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in the summer of 2018. So, since I’m going to be in New York City anyway, I might as well visit the campus to check it out.
See Anastasia The Musical and Miss Saigon on Broadway. It has been my dream to see a Broadway musical for so long. Also, when I was younger, I absolutely loved the Anastasia movie and I told my mom that one day, I would produce that movie into a musical. Obviously, I’m way to late but at least I’ll be seeing the show and I am super excited to see it. As for Miss Saigon, I was browsing through the broadway.com website when I saw they had tickets for only $53 and I just couldn’t resist.
3. Get a tattoo @ Three Kings East Village. I got my first tattoo almost a year ago and I remember coming out of the tattoo shop and thinking that I wanted another one. So, I’m going to get a tattoo while I’m in New York! I read a lot of amazing reviews on Three Kings East Village, so I’m planning on going there. What I’m getting? You’ll find out soon enough… UPDATE: I ended up not getting a tattoo this week but I’ll be back in NYC soon enough 😉
Have lunch in Central Park. Let’s cross our fingers and hope the weather will be nice enough to do this!
See China Town & Little Italy. I remember visiting China Town and Little Italy when our family went to NYC in 2013, but I just want to see it again and also I love pasta.
Walk the Brooklyn Bridge. Walking the Brooklyn Bridge and seeing the skyline from Brooklyn Heights and the High Line is also one of the things I really want to do!
See Dumbo. No, I don’t mean the Disney movie (which is really underrated because wow that movie really hit me hard as a kid). I mean Dumbo, the area. Do you know Tess Christine? She’s a YouTuber who lives over there. I’m so in love with the places she uses in her videos so I feel like not visiting Dumbo isn’t even a possibility.
Visit Greenwich Village. For some reason, I feel like I might live in Greenwich Village one day. I only know it from the movies and YouTube and what not, but it looks like the best place in NYC to live.
Walk down 5th Avenue. Because sometimes, it’s all about being a tourist.
See Times Square at night. Again, the tourist thingy.
Have a hotdog at a hotdog stand. I like hotdogs and I cannot lie. You other brothers can’t deny. (Too much?)
